    Annual Insurance Rant

One thing to bear in mind that some of the increase is due to electric cars. They are so expensive to repair and even a tiny amount of damage to the battery will write the car off even when new. They have put insurance for electric cars up to the limit the market will take and they are recouping...

Yep the steering is phenomenal for one on Gen 4/5. 💪

    Gen4 2022. Oil leak.

I’ve found if you present the dealer with evidence off the web that it’s a known problem, they pass it on to BMW and the mothership replace the part even when out of warranty. You just pay for labour. I had the leds on the the bottom of the dash on my Gen3 start to burn the dash. Known problem...

    Alex's 2023 Gen 5

The guy at RPM is always happy to send it through with a low value ie around $100. Most companies are if you ask. I’ve only once been refused by an American company. RPM Stuff is lovely.

    Worst jobs on these bikes

I looked up a Clark bike lift. The scissor lift in my pic is 1ft cubed at full extension. It’s just to lift the exhaust up to marry it with the bike. J

    Worst jobs on these bikes

Yep, the aluminium exhaust port adaptors, collars and especially springs are a real pain with the radiator on as you can’t get a square on angle of working for tools but please forgive me if you already have these but I’m assuming you have a rubber handled spring puller (£5) and Akra do loads of...

    Worst jobs on these bikes

Alex, I’ve found after doing loads of full exhaust systems on all makes that it’s always better to build the complete exhaust off the bike and then use a scissor jack (pictured) under the exhaust and you can easily raise the complete exhaust into the exact height/position and easily Align pipes...

    Motomillion M1000RR troubles

Personal view, if you want your engine to last it’s a 1000 miles of gradually building revs and load and I do a couple of oil & filter changes. Country lanes all the way as you’re constantly varying load and heat. I wouldn’t put full load and revs at 350+ miles. IMHO.

    Gen 4 Chinese headers?

Having owned both and checked them side by side, they’re not poor copies and certainly not tat. Each to their own.

    Gen 4 Chinese headers?

Some of us aren’t made of money so £154.20 delivered is perfect. If I was that fussy I could get my local race shop to weld on balance pipes but the bike is putting out good horsepower. More than my Gen 4. Also you were saying that all Akrapovic exhausts have balance pipes? See pic…. Must be tat? J
